Well, this is embarrassing. I was making some Homemade Vegetable Broth this morning and decided that now was as good a time as any to add SI unit conversions for my international readers. Imagine my surprise and chagrin when I realized that the printable version of the recipe was missing a step. Just one step, but it was an important one: the bit about putting the ingredients into the slow cooker, setting it, and turning it on! I’ve corrected it, of course, and apologize if anyone found themselves stuck.
I’m a big fan of the metric system, being a sciency person and all, and sincerely wish the US would begin using it for everything. I know how big a 3 kg baby is, how wide a 1 cm mole is, and how big a mouthful 5 ml is. That doesn’t make me adept at using SI for cooking and recipes, though. I’m still learning which ingredients get weighed and which are measured by volume, and am so accustomed to seeing teaspoons and Tablespoons that I sometimes read right past them without noticing. So, if you find any errors or awkwardness in my conversions, please do let me know. I welcome constructive criticism and am always willing to learn, so thanks in advance!

We all make mistakes. I wrote that someone was 238 the other day. Another blogger pointed it out to me and I corrected it!
