Galangal Rub

This easy seasoning goes great on just about anything you’d like to grill. It makes enough for one pork tenderloin or two to four burgers. If you can’t find ground galangal in your local market, you can order it online from Penzeys or other vendors. Galangal is in the ginger family but has a distinct flavor all its own.

Galangal Rub


1 tsp ground galangal

1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

¼ tsp kosher salt

⅛ tsp ground ginger

⅛ tsp ground sumac


1.) Mix all ingredients. Rub on just about anything before grilling: Pork, chicken, beef, veggie burgers, etc.
